Queues are long at peak times because the ever-smiling uncle only fries a few portions at a time for - maximum quality control - but trust us, the wait is worth it. Wok-fragrant kway teow and small, sweet cockles.

This stall is so popular, you'll not miss the long queue when it opens in the evenings. In fact, I was there at 5pm on a Saturday and the queue was already 4-5 persons long !
For $2.50, you have a really big generous plate of char kway teow loaded with cockles and deep-fried lard. The thing about me is, I prefer my plate of fried kuay teow sweetened with lotsa stickily-sweet-type black soya sauce. But Hai Kee's version was e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y light on this. Blame it on the characteristic Teochew habit of light seasoning - the signboard did, afterall, warn 'Teochew' :). So try Hai Kee if you don't care much for your char kway teow's sweetness, or lack of it. Go also, to be entertained by the owner's 'power-kungfu' style of frying his noodles - I don't know how to better describe it - just go see, or should I say hear, it.

This stall offers real value for money. For $2, you get a huge portion that will fill you up easily. Not only that, you also get to enjoy really smooth noodles cooked with generous portions of cockles, vegetables, fishcake and Chinese sausage. The only downside is that the chilli taste is so overpowering that it masks any real seafood taste.

The char kway teow dished out here still commands a small queue on a good day, comfirming the fact that SIngaporeans always welcome a plate of simple, traditional char kway teow. No kidding, we've seen the spatula-wielding middle-aged stallowner in front of the wok for more than 20 years! Yes, you can say that we grew up with him.

When come to Teo Chew Chao Kuay Tiao, you will love this! I have been eating this Chao Kuay Tiao since secondary school. It is selling at 2 bucks that time. It is still there for many years and the price has rise slowly to $2.50 then to $3 (Now). Hit by many issues like the rising cost for eggs and economic crisis previously but nevertheless it is still worth trying. The clams are generously served. You will notice it! You can also have special orders like extra clams or extra chilli! I also saw Uncle served fried white kuay tiao too upon certain special requests! You will never forget the taste after you try it! The queue is always long! It is definitely worth waiting! I am loving it!!!

just had uncle's CKT for dinner... haven't been there for a while, found out that the price has gone up to $3. But hey, it's still value for money because of the generous portion! Waited more than half an hour but it was worth the wait because we were greeted by uncle's friendly smile and he was explaining to us why we should use the bamboo chopstick (instead of the disposable ones), e.g. they are stronger hence easier to pick up the CKT and also they don't have the powdery stuff you will find on the disposable ones! I'm so so so.. satisfied with that very sinful but yummy plate of CKT that came with generous sprinkle of deep fried lard

Without a doubt one of the best CKT in Singapore ! While queuing up for one(or more!) more of the delectable CKT, one cannot help but notice the dedication and hardwork the uncle puts into cooking up these amazing CKT. And not forgetting the generous servings of those plump, juicy fresh clams.
Thank you Uncle !

Hey uncle, I just visited your stall 4 hours ago. Always love your CKT with the big and tasty "HUM".
I always admire your patient and professional attitude. Why I said that, because of your continuously standing there for 5 hours per day, 6 days per week for continuously so many many 20 plus plus years or more doing same thing again and again.
I have been eating your CKT for 10 years. Always a big fan of yours. Please impart your skill to me. Hahaha just kidding, i won't have the patient like you.
Please update your stall location when you are shifting.

A big fan of yours !!
!
